Castle of evil

"..............." Rachel just held him close but lets him rest but she didn't know what to say to him. She really almost over did it and yet he was alright for now. Samuel just relaxed in her arms while they lay in silence for the time before he fell to sleep later on with her just holding him. She felt scared from how much she took but only lets out a sigh, thinking of just not over doing it again.

There you go again" he said almost as if he could read her thoughts. "You didn't do too much so no thinking about it." He said and was serious about it reaching up and kissing g her lips before she could protest.

Her mind blanked out and she marred feeling his lips and he was distracting her from her worries. She felt him press against her and he smiles pulling his head back.

"N-no fair. I worry because its hard to control it." She said and he understood. He panted he read making he proud a bit.

"I know what you mean. But you're doing amazing and I love every moment. " he said and she flushed hearing that and she noticed he was eyeing her body quite openly.

She felt naked under his eyes to look away from him, not saying a word from this. However, she just moves to try hiding her expression from him. Samuel did find it cute but he was just reaching to pet the top of her head. He didn't want her to feel nervous around him after this but she sighed to turn her body away from him laying on her side.

"You really are a clutch.." she grumbles but feels Samuel hugging her close to gently nuzzle her shoulder.

"I am not a clutch thank you. I mean, I do over think things but that's not my fault.." she hissed at him but feels a kiss to her forehead to make her blush. Rachel just looking more flushed then away, not sure what to say to him right now. He was seriously getting too precious and she was trying to remain calm. For now, they just remain laying on the bed as she was blushing still.

She didn't let go of him and he lays with her thinking of what to talk about but not sure where to begin. He was distracted by everything that had been going on. First their powers evolve then a new ally turns out to be an enemy before he gets to really helping. And now their powers were stabilized and just marking time.

He got up first and she felt mixed relief that he was not going to tempt her and a desire to keep him there with her forever to play with. She said nothing except to thank him and her hand falls to her side as their touch seperates. He went to get cleaned up and she did the same thinking about how she had lost it and still didn't go too far.

As she cleaned herself and rraches her sensitive spots she remembers everything clear as it was happening again and her body starts to behave as if it was all happening again. Like an aftershock from am earthquake. She rocked and washed as her closed eyes savor the memories and her body burns in pleasure and delight as she went through this.

It was short and sweet and she left her shower and bath with a look of misty eyes and a smile of contentment. Shd was expecting to have to clean up but everything was done and she wonders how long she was in the bath. As she collected her thoughts their mission to destroy the chaos in this region and complete the combat cross before wallachia opens its borders and the night horde is unleashed on Europe.

As the scattered memories return she sees him sitting in the library and she hides behind a wall. "Another dud... it looks like my powers are limited to channeling though the whop or changing the whip to suit the spell but nothing else... God and elemental card matches work and some minor things wouls work,, but serious spells are never going to be a thing for me...

"And maybe that's for the best..." she said coming out now and walking up to him pretending to be confident and tough when really she wanted to melt in his hands.

"I think you're right love." He said hiding his surprise. If it wasn't her he would have jumped comically but around her he always felt he needed to be strong.

"Besides you can do things I can't ever do either. Like channel holy power. I can use the relics and items but the power itself won't rest within me. Not like it does you." She said and she noticed hebhadnt thought of it that way before.

"Love... I'm glad you told me that."

"But of course. Besides. We have one more piece left and then we can go to the castle. She said and she pulled down the book she came here for and sat down to read.

"True. Even for now, we need to be sure we get everything we need before long. Knowing the last piece will do us good later on." he mutters to see her thinking that is true.

as she reads he was still thinking about what he was trying to do and didnt try again. in fact he was trying not to look at her too much because he didnt want to lose control and take her if he did. there was a heavy wump in the air and he stiffens.

"what was that?" she asks and he shake his head

"barrier" he said in one word.

"was it a monster?" she asks getting ready and he shakes his head.

"human.. weak probably dying..." he said and his word fell away. he turned and walked out and she followed. sure enough the barrier let a human in and thy wer enear death bleeding out and too late to save. he hel a bloody letter and smiles passing in peace handing the note to samuel.

samul reads it as greg swoops in and feasts on the blood.

"to the noble house lost to the dark woods.

recent activity suggests the ouse is occupied and the ocupants fight mosnters. please help our village. we are assaulted every night for 2 weeks as of the 2nd of september. we wont last long plaeas ehelp us." and below was a crude map includng the forest the lake and the manor house in relation to the village int he center.

she reads it too and starts to pack gettign everyting ready. she knew he couldnt refuse helping he village.

Even during this, the outside world still suffers from things that tires to come. Samuel knew the same thing and he was already packed up to go. Rachel was too after getting her things and she was ready. Their was some worry of her using magic thanks to unlocked seals on her. Maybe she can take it easy on using the magic for now? Maybe not. She'll have to see when they head on out to help this village.

gregorio said he would stay behind to guard the maonor house and finish the repairs he started on it. leaving them alone to helpo the village. the path on the map was a very dangeorus one but she knew he would follow it because there were monsters on that road to hunt. and yes hunt not encounter.

they both knew about the region being infested with skeleton packs and zombie attacks at night but they always dealt with them meaning this was a worse attack. witht he wagon rolling behind the horses she sat next to him and read while leaning on his arm. he drove the horses with a series of clicking noises he made with his tongue and cheek.

he did it when their pace slowed and it didnt annoy her. too much. the book she was reading was about the history of the belmont after they came to Wallachia the origin of the castle they were to invade some time later in life. and the lord of that castle. they read lie epic adventures into dark bloody dungoens facing endless monsters and traps. many were alone but some had allies. the forest thickened and there were signs of monster habitation when she looked up from her book again.

she didnt know how long she was reading maybe hours but it was dark and gloomy. patches of lichen and vined hang thick on every tree and gave the forest a musty heavy scent. it was alive. and resisting the night hordes. but it was weakening. she felt power in the air natural, necromantic, and poison magic were traces everywhere. she hated the feelign of these magics except the natural energy that was fighting back.

to that force she lent ehr aid reaching out to it hoping to contact a guardian or spirit of the land. there was none. just the land itself working as it always did to maintain balance. she marveled at its fortidude and reached out to sense the life around her. she felt far away dark powers lurking and close shelered animals theyw ere just approching the forest between the belmont hol and the fillage on th map. and it looked like there was a power evil there they needed to kill before they could circle the lake.

She and him remain silent looking ahead but they were hoping to get to their destination soon so they can help the town that was still up ahead or hopefully near by in a few more hours. She kept reading the book in her hand but keeping her guard up just in case. The same for Samuel.

"get ready love.. i dont think this forest wil be calm for very long... there is a creature trying to claim it." he said

"the village love" she reminded him havign no interest in going intot he forest or staying longerthan she had to but she kne he was going to harass her about taking otu this evil so they wont have to do it on their way backa nd she sighs givign up and agrees that ti may be faster that way.

"How are you sure of the creature trying to claim this area." she mutters quietly to him, looking around the area wondering about it. She just hopes things will work out with them even with the creature trying to claim this area. They looked around trying to find out where it was but no luck seeing it.

"i can feel the struggle... you can probably see it sense it smell it and other super natural things but i can feel it in my bones there is turmoil in here against evil." he siad and she looked up from her book to look at him. did he know about her senses? maybe he did. he knew alot and ever since he started readign the library she noticed he was good at identifying creasures and knowing how to kill them.

he was even good at identifying items and artifacts but she was better at finding out wha tthey didn and how to use them.

the horse nickers and huffs as the forest closes behind them and the path begins to curve. she was still reading but keeping hersenses alert for nay hint of trouble and there wa no trouble. the feeling of struggle he mentions now became clear to her as she looked aorund. she could see the enrgy of the lifeofrms almost like heat vision. the evil ones she noticed were all fighting illnesses related to fungal infections and plant fevers. so far no large night creatures had been seen only small ones and she returns to her book after scanning ahead for a few miles. they would go around the cor of the forces working to destory the nature of this place and she knew that there was a spirit who would ask them for help.

that was still a few miles a way and the pace had to be slow because the undergrowth and the pathway were not maintained.

The two of them didn't say much while lingering on the path but at least they have some idea to what is going on out here. Now Rachel just wanted to find this place and deal with the problem to head home.

she mentioned this and he started to think too much.

"love... why is it you dont want to finish our quest?" he asks her and she looked down and away fom him.

"its not that... i dont want to see you hurt. and when we are home i can love on you and keep you from being hurt." she said shyly unable to refuse his questions. he wasnt sure if that was the whole story because she thought more deeply aoout her feelings even if she didnt say them.

" tell me everything love. i dont care if its alot to to take in i promise i will listen and understand." he said seriously as the horses whinny and nicker in warning. that they smelled somehting. they ignore the warning ebcause it wasnt a warnign of alarm or attack merely a presense. she looked at him and decided she maybe should tell him if he was right or wrong. she knew he wanted to hear her own words what she was thinking

She looks away from him but knew Samuel at least wanted to know before things got out of hand too quick. The presence was not dangerous but she only looks down trying to think of the words when saying what she had to say. It was hard to say but she wanted him to at least understand what she's trying to say.

"Love?"

"I'm sorry Samuel.." she mutters then sighed. "Honestly, I don't want you to be taken away from me. From this mission and quest of what you have to do, it worries me you know. I'm scared because I don't know if this gets too much and I end up losing you forever." she knew it sounded childish but she did care about him deeply to wish for that. Samuel did listen to her but didn't say a thing while she did.

"i feel the same love but im illing to let you take risks. even after the cave incident." he siad and she pouted remembering the trauma but it was far away form her.

"youll neve rlet me live that down" she said and pouted with he rloweer lip pushed out and trembling.

" nope. because it was after that that we confessed our feelings." he said and she slushed and looked away. he remembered that day a bit differently separating the horrible event from the good one and she loved that eh could remember the happy incident not the bad one.

"l-love youre teasing me again. y-you know how i get when you do." she said and he smiles kissing her cheek. the reigns slackened in his hand as he did and she grasps his hands in hers "d-dont start... not till we can find a good camping spot." she siad and he smiles

" we will find one the forest itself is leading us to one. im following the healthy plants to limit encounters." he said and she didnt expect him to be doing so much while staying on the trial and she leans against him knowing he had matters in hand. he always picked good spots but they were close to lairs. not on purpose but thats just how it ends up. this time they were in a dryads dwelling.

it had long been abandoned and now only animals were living here. they scatter hearign the horses short and the wagon roll by before eh stops and hops out to start setting up camp.

She can see a lot of creatures out here so it's not too bad for them to rest here for the night. Rachel was helping him with putting everything up while he was collecting fire wood for the fire. Hearing the crickets and small animals getting to their homes leaves her quiet. She was setting the tent up with her magic so it was ready to go when he returns with the wood.

Setting it down, he had it surrounded that she sets it on fire to get their camp fire started. She sits in front of it to hold her hands over it but he was getting other things so they can begin getting some food started if they grew hungry.

Samuel fed the horses and watered them while she cooked for them. He was quiet but a sense of peace relaxed him. This was a safe spot and he could tell. She could feel it herself and through him making it easier to relax for her as well.

For that time, she was making sure the food cooks evenly without a single miss, stirring the pot carefully while humming to herself. At least this area keeps her mind at ease for a while without a problem. That leaves her happier than most. Though, he hopes she was alright for this quiet safe haven.

Feeling it quiet a d safe and her relaxed was helpful to him. Our Belmont cared about her health and her happiness. What he didn't know was she was happy to be near him. Any more was bliss to her it seemed. Slowly as the food was ready he finished setting up and sat down. She served their meal and was he'd him with heated eyes. She had watched him strip his tunic off and his cloak before working and she watched his muscles the whe time and they got her hot.

She watched him eat and saw how greatful he was to recover his strength. She thought he would need it after getting her so heated with his display of flesh. She knew she had a similar effect to him and she knew after he relaxed he would be ready for her to pounce. She was like a cat lying in wait for her prey to let hjs guard down so she could satisfy her need for his affection.

In turn she could satisfy his need for her affection. She could tell that it was getting g stronger since his eyes were focused on her eyes and she felt the heat of them on her head.

She just focused on her own thoughts right now since Belmont was looking at her, wondering if she is fine. With everything going on, her mind must be distracted again. He didn't want to upset her but he was unsure about it himself.

He didn't say anything and nothing really crossed his mind. He eats slowly and was used to how good her food was to it no longer amazed him like it did. But he did always take one of two bites and savored them apart from the entire consumption.

Her thoughts were a mystery to him and he wished to know what was on her mind. He loved her food and it always filled him up. She ate her fill and didn't look at him directly. She would look in his direction but not at him. She also said nothing preferring to keep he rethought to herself. This rest was exactly what they needed.

After eating they set up their beds and she snuggles next to him looking Into his eyes. He was tired and careworn she noticed a wrinkle in his brow almost like a third eyelid. She traced it and wished he would shave so she could see more of his face.

His beard was scruffy curyl and short with patches of bare skin showing where it jad been burned melted or slashed and was growing or needed to grow back. She knew outside this haven there were various plant and beast type night creatures in their path and she Also knew she couldn't use fire or lightening or she would burn down the forest.

Nature magic may not be effective. Ice magic could kill trees but not the whole forest. Earth magic would destroy the path and uproot trees even change the way water flows. Highly pressurized water magic could work but plant monster tend to regrow fast when cut that way. Beasts would be killed easy bit any demons would need some other method.

For now, she'll keep this in mind and go ahead with doing what is needed. She'll only think of something later down the road for this time. She just remains still but wanted to rest while he was thinking the same.

He went to sleep first giving her the rest she wanted and she knew he would be safe with her. He also knew he would be safe with her and that was why he slept so calmly.

In a bit, she closes her eyes to fall to sleep while curled up. He noticed that to leave him remain quiet. Seeing Rachel sleeping only made him more cal to see that she's fine now. He even lets out a sigh seeing her just being calm in some more way. For now, they sleep with no problem.
