That would disrupt all magic in the area making the undead minions powerless and leaving the lich a lnd the apprentice all she had to do was destroy the vessel and the lich would die. But the apprentice would be hunting her as soon as she worked her spell.

Unless she disguises the focal points as ordinary objects.

Well, it was something so maybe that is what she can do during that time.

She spent the next two days working on her project keeping it secret from Samuel. She will have to be sure to be careful later on but for now, she still kept preparing for the time.
