They had their plans on what to do so that means it would be a easy but difficult task. For now, both her and him will have to be ready either way.

It was a typical grind to get stronger and as their following grew with their deeds and ranked up she begins to see him more and more often. In game their characters were married and she was discovering more and more about him and why he chose shield. She liked having a good tank to guard her while she took out enemies from afar. And she liked the feeling of sniping foes before they get to him.

He was a great tank and almost never needed to use a healing follower. On the voice chat she could tell he liked having her with him more than being alone in game and together they explore the different areas looking for quests treasure and hidden instances.

One such instance was a cave that had a false floor dropping them both into a hidden crypt "gah I Hate the undead. Let's get this over with." He said and she giggles

"Alright chicken let's go." And she and he both walk deeper since it was the only way to go. At first it was easy skeletons and zombies would rise out of the dust and attack. He would block and she would use her fire arrows to end them. Soon mote powerful undead were coming and in greater numbers and the ones they already killed respawned quickly.

"Its a guantlet... we can stay and fight forever or keep going trailing them behind us..." he said and she thought about it.

"Let's run ahead stop and fight then run more. That way the ones from before will need time to catch up to us and we won't get sandwiched between mobs" She said and he agreed. She had to use all her agility and evasive skills to get through and he was falling behind as a result. He was fighting as he went making sure to tag then all so none would attack her. And soon they came across undead monsters. Monster creatures turned undead. And she began to think of an old show called nazarick where a human was in a game and his guild of undead were transported and made real in another world.

He soon had a larger mob than he could hold reliably and they stopped and fought them off. She focused on the first enemies they found and then the more recent while he consumed some potions to keep going. He made so many because he didn't like healer npcs thinking they didn't do the job good enough. Soon their backs were clear and they could press forward down down down into the depths of darkness.

The terrain was changing becoming more dust and bone than dirt and opening to a cavern where a grand mausoleum stood. This was only the first level and since this was a hidden instance it looked to be many levels all worse than the gauntlet. A single fighter stepped out and it was a powerful lich. It casted spells at them forcing him to absorb the incoming attack and a timer started to click down.

"Whats this clock" shw asks and he looks at it and tries to think.

"Maybe it's how long until the mobs come back" He suggested and she denied that idea.

"Can't be there wants a clock before... what about a doom counter. Some undead cast death curses and they look look that." She said and that surprised him

"Could be have you faced them before?" He asks and she said she had but the timer was a debuff not a stage timer.

"Yes but they weren't counting down on the stage they ere on me... let's try to beat the clock tanky." She said and starred to use her holy ammunition on the lich. While he tried to close the distance between him and the lich to better control its movement and keep its attention.

He was wondering how she knew this but that will come to a later point. For now, they focused on the task at hand to stop the clock before whatever happened happens.
