He couldn't be happier near her and seeing her relaxing was nice. They said nothing. They didn't need to say anything. She was happy to have him all to herself as she always wished and now all she needed to do was do her duties as a soul reaper and train herself to one day access her power. Active duty hadn't been restored to them giving her all tb3 time shw could ask for to be with him.

The next event of note was the discovery of her power. At first it seemed to be a fire sword and an ice blade. But as she meditated she understood it was temperature itself. To adjust her output she only had to picture the temperature of he rblades going up or down. And the power was always the opposite in the other sword. If one was hot the other was cold. It gave her utility and would definitely help her but she wanted dto learn the limits of her ability.

So far it was limited to one sword of fire one of ice and neutral state where both are normal swords at room temperature. Her excitement was extreme and she only felt bad because her love had yet to manifest his own power.

To say the least, he was proud and happy for her but it left Osaki wanted to help him as well. To help him in trying to awaken his own.

To that end she meditated with him and supported him if he felt down. It didn't happen often but when it did she would bury his head in her chest and hug him tight.

"You'll get it you just keep getting in your own way." Sje said and he would relax right away.

"Thank you Osaki." Hayate always had her with him but it was sweet that she wanted to help him in every way possible. She knew he can unlock his own as well and it will be the best day for him. For now, she will be here to help him no matter what.

He could clearly see his zanpakuto but he couldn't hear its voice. He tried to read the lips. Tthat didn't work and every meditation failed. He had to quiet himself down I side a d it wasn't working. She noticed that his duties were beginning to pile up and so were her own. Mostly training errand work and emergency hollow battles.

Two and 3 weeks pass since she u locked her powers and yet he still could only channel his will and instinct to sharpen his blade like he did in hueco Mundo. He was getting g closer as the image in his mind was now clear and trying to reach out to him.

She didn't understand what was happening but she was trying to help him in some way to mamke this work.

"Hayate you're doing fine. Don't stress out about it " She said patting his arm and he hugged her suddenly making her blush.

"Thanks osaki. Maybe I'm trying too hard." He said as she hugged hom close. He hadn't touched her in a while and suddenly in one of his hugs really made her flush.

"It will happen when it happens. Everyone is different. " She said and he hugged tighter making her seriously wish they could be alone at home and not walking down a street. He didn't give up and as they continue to do their duties and file reports or assist squat members with their hollow hunts sje noticed that he was really only relaxed in battle.

As he fought most ordinary hollows were cut In a Single strike. For him fighting normal hollows was like going for a walk. He let them get close slashing fast and without hesitation sometimes closing his eyes as he did. Their patrols around the seireitei were eventful as incursions happened every day. He was rarely the first to arrive but always the last to leave making sure the incident was fully resolved before returning to his office and writing his report.

He hated paperwork preferring the simplicity of the battlefield. She saw his blade sometimes seem to glow with his power mixing with its own and knew he was close to unlocking his shikai. She didn't know what his power was and understanding her own was difficult. She preferred to keep her power neutral in shikai form but sometimes she would get a little angry at her opponent and her main hand would burst into flames while her offhand would freeze the air around her.

The combination of the two would always cause clauses to form overhead as a sideffect of her powers. Especially if she was in the human world. For even as officers they were sent to the him. World for particularly troubl3some hollows and usually these hollows had already killed a member of their squad.

These times were seriously wearing her down as she had not shared his bed in the weeks their work picked up. Their missions were seperate but they always returned home. Sometimes they were both there and too tired to think or do nothing or only one was there. She had taken to carry8ng one of his shirts with her to comfort her if she missed him too badly.

If he felt lonely for her he would sink into his memories of her and forget all else for a few moments. Sometimes an image of her would flash in front of him in battle and his next few attacks would be much stronger. He only just noticed this and it explained how he survived hueco Mundo. His feelings for her made it easier to sharpen his blade with his will and channel his aura to appear around him nd his weapon.

There was no real progress to his development except that he was slowly discovering that regular hollows weren't a threat to him unless he let his guard down. And during their next session together he heard his name from the form of his weapon.

She jumped when he suddenly drew his weapon and eyed it in the light. Then she saw him pit his head to it closing his eyes and focusing. Then she saw it. His blade shifted and changed swelling as the seal he placed on it was slowly reduced. When it was three times as thick and the edge twice as wide she noticed he only lengthen it by a foot.

The whisper cause his power to explode and sworl around him as his blade glowed and took in the form he had changed it into only thicker darker with the edge comprised of the entirety of the rainbow.

The path his blade took left a path of light behind that moved like a ribbon in the wind the light was a single solid color and the explosion of his power had sent large rocks into the sky that rained down. He sliced one and the ribbon of light molded around both him and her. The boulders that fell land on the ribbon bouncing off like they hit the ground and it still seemed to wave and undulate in the wind.

She heard the name "great rainbow" and saw the light he left behind respond to his will. She was amazed and as she touched the light she found that it could be a pathway, a sheild and even a binding force. She looked at the edge of the light and saw that it was itself sharp a shis blade ever got and if used as a blade it would cut nearly anything.

She clapped and hugged him kissing him fiercely to celebrate his shikai awakening. "See I knew ot would turn out fine." She said and the ribbon shattered as the blade returned to normal. For the first time sine the academy or hueco Mundo he was tired. He never used all his power at once as a personal rule and that was what was holding him back. Now that he did this he could do it again.

After the shikai shattered the blade retained the shape he set it to before it activated a basic blade thicker wider and longer than standard but now it had a braid hanging from the hilt of every color imaginable and the hilt was in the shape of a double rainbow and golden. Fully realized as an awakened zanpakuto it formed to his specific taste as hers had.

She was so happy for him she just had to give him a special reward. He would have done the same for her if he wasn't so worried at the time. And she had to decide how to reward him for catching up to her.

"See? From work and training, you did it. I"m so so proud of you!" Osaki smiled hugging him with Hayate holding her close to kiss her forehead.

"It's because you helped me. You told me to never give up and keep trying. Thanks to you, I was able to do this." He sees her still blushing to smile hugging him. She was just so happy that it leaves her kissing all over his face so proud.

He laughed as her kisses tickle but he fell backwards with her landing on top of him still kissing his face. He held into her and she didn't care. She was happy with him and now laying on top of him kissing him she presses hard against him. His arms were around her waist and he was blushing deeply. Her kisses always seemed to make him nervous.

His lips found hers and he kissed her a slow deep kiss that she whines a little still wanting to kiss his face only to be trapped by his lips and tongue as he returned all her many kisses with this one.

She happily returns the kisses to him but it leaves her loving him again that he held her in his arms. The kisses were gentle but sweet at the same time. His hands squeezing her waist loving the feel of her lips.

His grip held her close and he return her kisses once more only focusing on her neck and collar now. Slow pulling kissing really make her smile as his hands grip tight. He loved her deeply and wished to show it with his affections. The tight grip on her hips pull her close and his kisses to her neck and collar were spreading to her chest.

The grip made her shiver, the touches made her whimper. He seriously was a tease and yet she loved it. Every second just made her giggle holding onto him tightly while giving light kisses to his lips. He was seriously getting heated with his actions when distant conversations coming closer made them pull back. She fussed and whined not wanting this to stop but he hissed her and pulled her into a clump of bushes. Trying to stay quiet he watched the clearing feeling her still kissing softly and sweetly wanting him to finish what he started.

He didn't stop her but she could tell he was distracted and soon she hears what he was hearing. She bites her lip and contains her heat knowing she would want to do alot more because of this interruption. The voices were the newest recruits who didn't have a seat like them. They chatted and laughed together as they came to the area to practice their abilities.

Not wanting to be involved or discovered in their heated state osaki pulls him deeper into the trees away from the training garea so she can get the rest of what he started. He looked back only out of concern for their squadmates and follows her quickly. She pulled them to a small Grove of trees where no one ever comes and after pushing through the heavy overgrowth he saw her smiling and waiting for him.

She had a hot look in her face like nearly getting caught aroused her and she pulled him I to much more passionate kisses to make up for the lost time. He was a bit surprised and returns the kisses to her lips and presses against her.

Sharing this moment was nice and it leaves her flushed with a shiver slipping through the kisses. Still sharing the kiss, they break it once more panting against their lips. He was getting worse still working to keep it slow not wanting to move too fast or do too much too soon. It was getting to where she wanted them bare so she could have more fun.
