Two become one.

the wave passed and the horrible premonition subsided. She found she was clinging to him and took comfort i. The fact the he was okay. This war wasn't going to end soon and this was their post. Their own world and they had to defend it.

Her feelings quieted down but his didn't. Slowly she reach out to his mind and felt the turmoil inside. He was battling his failures and struggling to keep himself together. Sje felt the source wasn't the same as the prophesy they all heard and felt but because of a powerful Darkseid user in a nearby moon. Sje could only feel it through her connection to him and she soon realized the sith was trying to attack his mind and turn him to the Darkside. The prophecy disrupted it and the struggle was now on the surface.

He had been fighting it since the enemy forces landed meaning that this situ was their leader and he was truly powerful to reach out from so far and effect the one she loved. She poured her energy and will I to her own abilities and joined the struggle aiding her love and breaking his connection to the sith warrior that was attacking him.

That insane person would definitely try a duel since his other rmethods faded and for now it seemed this was her foe not his. Because he was being taken out first like someone in the way. She was the target so she was going to be the bait and trap.

He didn't say nor did anything with all this that he was looking more worried about it. Knowing the possible outcome leaves him thinking about it. However, he was really quiet after a while. They knew the battle will get worse and worse but she wanted to keep him to the light. If the dark side was growing stronger due to another user pounding away at her love's head, it would get worse over time. She wonders if she can help him some how or at least do something to ease it.

She was already doing what she could and he was showing definite signs of recovery. "You really are sensitive love. You can sense so much from so far away but that can also be your weakness." She said softly he knew it was true and he smiles that she figured something out about his powers he didn't know. He had no comparison because everyone reacts to the force differently. He was feeling a bit better and her efforts were helping but she needed to try and lure the sith to her so she could trap him and defeat him.

She didn't like killing but this sith did something she couldn't forgive easy. She wasn't going to show mercy to it for hurting her love.

"I'll be sure to do my best in making sure you are alright. I don't want you to feel ill from this and from what your feeling right now. I'll do everything to help you feel better." she held him close running her fingers through his hair that Breka and Resha still remain silent during this time.

their meditation went smoothly and he recovered just as fast as always. she was certain that he was alright and she was relieved that he seemed stronger and a tad more resilient in their training. together they recive and process reports after their meditation and he noticed that the sensors on the outer layer of their sensor grid was continuously being replaced. it wasnt native creatures he orders a squad of troops and a droid to fill the gap and report everythig no matter how insignificatn every hour

"are you sure breka? it could be something benign." resha was worried about it but didnt want it to show.

"im sure. the droid will be the sensor and the squad will be the defense i dont want any holes in the net or we might be invaded."

she nodded and made the order their troops were read yo go and the squad she picked were a bit rag tag. she believed that they would be suited for the mission and able to relax more away formthe more orderly troops they had with them. the droid in question was harder to replace than a sensor beacon but it would at least be able to defend itself a little bit.

Both Resha and Breka knew this would be a while but their plan will help them grow along the way. Seeing the plans and wondering of the enemy was still a main objective.

they had no further incursions an the reports form the republic were definitly not showing good news as the borders from lost battles creep closer to their outpost. they werent worried knowing that reinforcements would eventually retake the planets but this outer rim struggle was more of trading property thorugh vicory and defeat.

one report stated the republic agreed to give up a system to spare the lives of its people only for the people to be slain and the system fell under the sith anyway. things werent looking good for the republic and theyre polocy of retreat to have less space to protect was only a temporary defensive strategy.

their post was still guarded even if they were on the front lines and their troops werent suffering the sicknesses normally associated with jungle environments. she took care of their troops making sure to cycle them and give them the res thtey neede to fight off the boot issues and fungal infections that start to spread as a mild irritation.

every time someone had a noticable infection no matter how mild she would use the force to strengthen their immune system and fortify them agaisnt the environment. this was easy since this world was teeming with life of all sorts. breka was always thankful to her for this and made sure the equipment and technology was maintained and always ready to go. they spent most of their time inspecting and adapting their systems to the environment which was mostly invasicve to th technology. they had to constantly disinfect the vehicles and stations to prefent fungus from interfering with operations and their troops soon learned to do the same.

many of these solderis lived in hutlike settings as they settled in around the base and slowly spread out to cover wider areas and extend their groud forces into the jungle. the droid they sent to replace the sensor reported no unusual lifesigns but unusual tracks. resha saw brekka take of to investigate and focused on base maintainence and filing reports to be sent to HQ

They decided to do what was needed for that time, looking at more reports on the mission. They didn't say much but the grounds were now patrolled for a good while till something else comes up.

Several months pass with no issues more serious than local pests invading the base looking for shelter or food, illness from bacterial and fungal to seasonal. A few times a large fanged mammal species tried to hunt soldiers and technicians during a month of scarcity. The battles in nearby systems sometimes dropped casualties on their world. From both sides.

The current group was a sith scout ship. They could feel the incom8ng sith and the sith could feel them. She went to the command center to activate the total jammer preventing all communication by electronic means. Even droids vocabulators scrambled. He went to hunt the crashed ship. She remained to protect the base. She projected herself to hus side in deep meditation to keep an eye on him. Her image shimmered next to him following him.

He was leaping from tree to distant tree channeling the force for each jump and to soften every landing she followed and noticed he was heading to smoke on the horizon. The ship started a small fire in the jungle. The five sith they felt were reduced to three they had died in the crash. They scattered to three directions all somewhat towards her and him. He moved faster to intercept one.

There was a hissing surge of red power from below and a bright viridian blade ignited in his hands as he dropped down. The scout attacked in a flurry of blows. Breka responded with form three soresu parrying each strike and waiting for an opening. After several minutes he switched to the atari form throwing the sith off guard with a swift flurry oglf blows that quickly disarmed the scout. The final blow took the scouts head and he picked up the enemy lightsaber and took off to the next one.

Her meditation caused her to levitate as the soldiers and technicians prepared for an assault. There were no enemy soldiers only these scouts. He found the ship and she hears hom talking about ot to her projection " heavily damaged before an emergency hyperspace jump. Looks like they were running from a lost campaign amd woind up here..." his voice echoed a little as her attention was brought to where her body was.

She took that information and reported his findings to the officers. She also informed them of 2 sith on the planet. She told them where she thought they were and how soon they were expected to arrive. She went to inspect rhe defenses and be ready to face the threat if it got past him.

A few hours later he was panting in a duel with another sith. This one specialized in dueling and breka had to use his second lightsaber and a completely different form. The violet blade flicked out intercepting blows the viridian lashed out trying to create an opening. The sith was a master duelist and was an even match. The ground rumble and cracked around them from the power of their blows and pushes with the force as they fought to overpower eachother. The sith turned to the offensive and breka devoted his blades to defense. He spun around almost dancing to dodge and block every stroke and strike against him. With their sabers meet he always used both to put pressure on the sith during the struggle.

The heavy fight was sending waves of power all the way to the base shaking the ground there. The remaining sith was still out there hunting for the base and her. She was patrolling the base making sure the defenses were air tight she could sense the sith far away and getting closer.

For now they would just remaining quiet but they keep on going hoping to find something and seeing them just getting on through.

The raw energy the two combatants threw at each other rent the jungle around them asunder. Trees ancient and gigantic splintered. Boulders were thrown that had remained in place for eons. The rumbling of the ground increased every time they were in a saber lock and trying to break free.

Breka was worried for the balance of the jungle as the force strained and divided clashed with ripples effecting everything on the planet. She felt the struggle growing more intense as brekas powers were put to the test in a way he hadn't had since the old days as a sith acolyte.

The base was secure the assassin's were divided heading to decors she and breka painstakingly maintained to hide their base from orbital scanners by generating ghost signatures of base activity. So far they were buying time distracting the hidden assassin's.

For that time being, they just kept going but was focusing on the base to see what was going to do. Even for the assassin to that time. Maybe they would need to rethink of another idea later on.

"Quickly I want three squads with me we are going to hunt the final assassin while the main enemy forces are being held at bay in the jungle" She said and the soldiers and scouts salute her before organizing as she ordered. Without waiting she and her people formed up and moved out. 

She was using her senses to scour the base for her quarry and spread her troops out to approach the place he was getting a general idea about. One team went to the sheild generator, one team stayed with her and the last team went to cover the only exits. With no escape she would be ready to pursue if notified or drive the assassin unto one of the waiting groups. 

The stamping footsteps of her troops thinned out as they divided and she hurried to the power generators to spring her trap. As for break the fight was going poorly the enemy reinforcements met up and forced him to retreat to cover where he was trapped and under heavy fire. He deflected nearly all of the shots but the battle was taking a toll on his abilities. 

She felt his struggle and knew she had to hurry so she could help him when a saber ignited above her head and she rolled away just in time to stop the assassin from cutting her in half on his way down from the ceiling. She hissed and brought her lightsaber to block a pair of strikes angry hissing an popping filled the air as the energy clashed. 

The pressure on her thoughts was distracting and she forced herself to calm her mind and let the force move through her. The flurry of blows between the two left no openings for her troops to get a clean shot and the assassin was only as fast as her but not as strong. The advantage of surprise and stealth was lost and that was the only advantage the assassin had. She worked to block his escape to tire him out before letting him run to one of her waiting troops.

She sees him indeed run off, seeing the other stumbling around only to see that the other warrior now in a room. Though, she heard gun shots from the plasma guns only to see the body hit the ground. She looks seeing this and yet, it leaves her wondering what the hell happened now. Were more assassins coming or was this all done for now.

She stretched out her senses and felt only her troops as the lingering darkness dissipated from her senses. The soldiers collected the few that took blaster bolts and died before sending the all clear signal. In the hustle and bustle she slipped out to find her love and make sure he was okay. 

He was fine. More or less anyway. He was hurt but not badly and he was making his way back to the base. She was relieved when he came out of the brush with minor injuries. He had one his fight so why didn't she sense the outcome? She rushed to him and hugged him tight only to have him winced and hiss. Some of his ribs were broken. 

"What happened i couldn't sense it after the base was attacked" She said and he smiled. 

"Well I sensed thr base was discovered and I let the force go. When I did that everything worked out until I got thrown through a few monster trees from a clash. The leader was Swiss cheese thanks to the jungle. I sensed you were discovered a d rush to find you." He said and she sighed in relief. 

"Did they get a message out?" She asks and he shook his head. 

"Not mine what about the assasin?" He asks and she shakes her head. 

"I'm not sure. The troops are scanning now but I think i kept him off balance enough to forget to send a message. I set a trap and it worked." She said and he smiled. 

"Good for you now let's get back you need a kolto bath." She said and he laughed then wheeled clutching his broken robs. "I do at that love" he said and went with her back to the base.

For now she was happy that was over with but she was wondering what was going to happen now after all this.

They went to the medical bay and saw many Troops in kolto tanks to recover from their injuries. She helped him get into his and hated that she had to be separated from him through the tank. She watched as he put on the air mask and the tank filled with the medical agent most widely used in this era. The computers ran their scans and determined he was worse off than he said. His ribs, an arm and some of his vertebrae were broken from a massive impact. One of the ribs punctured a lung and she was amazed he didn't cough up any blood. 

She watched as he entered a healed meditation as he floated in the medicine. Her hand reached out and rested on the tank wishing she could hold him again and she kissed the glass before leaving to resume normal base operations which included a tally of mission reports and damage reports and inventory checks. 

The soldiers defended the base and surrounding jungle as well as they could but the attack took away 15% of their manpower, 20% of their ammunition, and left 30% of what was left healing in the medical bay. The casualties weren't too bad for this kind of war but the attack had been savage and unexpected. She compiled her report and programmed a probe with he report and fired it to their leadership at the nearest temple. When that was done she started to worry about him and hope he would recover fast. 

They were found once and it wouldn't be long before others arrived to finish the job. But she was thinking the worst she stopped the message she was sure it wasn't sent.
