Warriors of light cuaght in a dark world.

"....Thank you. I'll do my best to help you during this quest. I just want this to end." she mutters in his chest while Andrew rubs her back.

"I know but don't worry, we will. I'll make sure of it." he whispered gently before they got ready to head on to their quest. They were now back on the road while she looks ahead during the time of travel. The dream did leave her speechless but she ignored it for the time being.

It was close. She knew how to make thw sword and now they were looking for the materials. The ancient mine was thwir next destination. It was a mountian taken long ago bt darkness. Dragons roam it and only there was where the ore could be found. It was in the far north reachable only by sea.

"So we are foing to thw seacoast town." He said and she nodded she wanted this ques tto end and live in peace witb him.

"You think we will get there soon?" she asked.

"Depends on the road but I'm sure we will get there soon." He said while looking ahead.

"This ore.. according to the stories resides only in the core of the earth but fragments sometimes crop up in volcanoes. If the dragon mountain doesnt jave it i dont know where else to look" he said and he knew they should get there within 3 days if they hurry but it looked like 4 or 5 because he was being very cautious.

"Will we meet the dragon king?" She asks thinkimg about a dragonlord from something he said and he lughed.

"No the heir is an egg or a hatchling at the moment. The previous dragon lord was killed by the hero that summoned us to this world. Negotiations wont be taking place they will attack on sight. Magic isnt as strong on them but i know a sword technique that has an advantage on dragons... so long as theya ttack one at a time." He said laughing and he sisnt seem worried. Dragons dont normally team up after maturing past green dragons to blue dragons.

"We can do this okay. Im glad you arent worried." Sje said to him and watched the sky. The clouds wer efloatinf peacefully and it was perfectly shaded ro read more about the spells.

"I know. I rust you on that." He said towards her but she remains quiet wondering about it herself. Maybe Maggie was wrong but she knew or read about dragons and their.....tastes. Maybe she will figure something else out later on after a while. She only kept quiet after some time not really thinking too much about it.

Their trsvels wer emostly uneventful for once. Yhey even saw other travellers. Some sort of peace had settled over the land and some of the more evil monsyers had seemed to vanish. Both lnew this was because they wrre recalled.

They keep travelling and she leans heavily against him after half the day went by. She held ine of his hands and was stroking it and he was stroking he rhand as well.

They were not going directly to the lair. She knew that. She also knew as soon as they got to sea to go to the dragob lair he epuld want to explore the little islands that are charted byt isolated from everywhere else.

However, the small time they had together during this time was good for her. This gave her time to relax her mind and put it at ease. From everything that happened to her, Margret wanted to forget everything but it was still in her mind but buried. She only lets out a sigh but keeps holding Andrew's hand while they kept heading down the dirt pathway.

"You okay?" he asked after a while.

"Yes; I'm alright." she said gently to him but remains silent after a while now. This leaves her only re thinking of what else she could do later on. Maybe figure something of a plan like she said before. They look at the horses that still kept going but they looked at one another then ahead wondering how long they will travel till taking a break.

they travelled for several hours before resting and he was getting things set up. it was later and she had had lots of time to think of what she was planningto do. she was not really happy and he could tell. he was hesitant to romance her because he didn't want to make her think that was his solution to everything.

For now, he hopes she's alright and maybe find another way to figure something out. She only keeps a eye out wondering about something before seeing how things went on ahead. That leaves her thinking of what to do now.

"youre going to die before this is over... you know that don't you." he said bluntly and she gulped. she had known her fate but didn't know that he knew. why did he not tell her he knew.

"yes... back then.. I was supposed to die so you could live and save the realm... why didn't you?" she aks and he looks at her and sigs.

"1. I love you 2. I cant forge a legendary weapon like you can. 3. I don't want you to die." he said it like a shopping list but she knew him enough to know he took shopping lists seriously. he was serious about his answers.

"..."

"Your very interesting and I only wish to learn more about you, Maggie." She looks at Andrew not sure how to explain this but he sees her look away thinking of her answer to him during this. If he thinks that then..

"IF that's your word, then would you even accept the fact I had to die?" she mutters to see him looking shocked.

"......N..No. I told you I didn't want you to die."

"And you think you can stop it? What if I still died then what would you do?" she asked being serious.

he looked down. " I would either use my magic to bing you back and if I couldn't I would go see the preists. they can do it for ahefty fee. but you wont die in a normal way... you will be turned into a demon breeding pit and used up... a slave to the darkness.... and I don't want you to be in that situation." he said and she gulped. he was serious and he would carry her body as far as it would take to bring her back

"......"

"Besides, I can't take it if I lost you again....or would lose you." she grumbles.

"....you're scaring me. It's like you really think I'm going to or is already seeing my death." She whispered looking away from him now.

he nodded. "That is why I fought so hard to get you back. I seen your fate. That is... I've seen your fate if I do nothing. I don't mean to scare you. I'm sorry." He said and inched closer to hug her. She felt his warmth and his love. It comforted her and she leans into him and nuzzles him.

She loved the close warmth and heat of his love it was better than the cold heartless tendrils that would stuff her with icy arousing fluids until she was used up. She didn't want to be in this fight anymore. She wanted to live and be with him forever.

It wasn't easy for either of them and she knew he would keep fighting if only to keep her safe. They were silent enjoying each other's comfort and closeness. It wasn't going to be easy but she knew they needed to travel night and day to do what is needed to save this world.

They didn't say anything after a while but both Andrew and Maggie only looks ahead thinking of the on coming battles what's to be later during this journey. She was indeed scared about it and he was worried of something taking her away from him again. He wouldn't let it happen again and fight till his last breath till he got Maggie back.

"...."

"How about we sleep for now? I know you're tired but don't worry. I'll be right here in case." He mutters lovingly to her and gives her forehead a light kiss that she shuts her eyes hiding a blush.

"Alright.....thanks Andrew." She said but he nods, laying back with her as she did the same cuddling up close to him. In a while, they had their eyes shut to relax in the quiet till they fell to sleep at the same time. His arm still was around her shoulders to keep her close and she was still curled up.

Her dreams were of him and her being in love e together walking together making love and traveling. She didn't dram of fighting unless they ever the dark dreams. Tonight was a dream of love and peace.

When she woke she curls up close too him and he sleepily hugs her close shaking his lips as he snoozer again. It was nice and she wished it wouldn't end.

The next leg of their journey took them through the twilight of canyons. These were carved by glaciers and powerful giants whose bones were taller than castles. Monsters were here and they attack another but their training and new spells make quick work of anything. Soon one or two spells from. Both of them wiped out every monster group they fought gaining them more and more power and gold. Some monsters even had medicines for curing poisons and one that had an herb she knew the oil of which would be used to preserve metal tools.

It was shocking to see all this but Margret was glad to know much. After a while, it leaves her wondering what would happen and what they would find after. It's possible the other journey will find something and it leaves Andrew already remained quiet. They keep traveling for a while that it only remains silent after a bit.

She didn't break the silence and thought maybe he was thinking gand didn't want to disturb him. Maybe. He was focused that wa clear and the spells they used were more effective the more they used them. They felt evil power here and the creeping feeling of a monster den made the old marks on her body burn with arousal.

A powerful demon or curse was in control of this place and he felt them as well. The shadows seem to smile at them as they pass and she felt eyes on her . Hungry lisrful eyes that make her hot in some way and shivers as she felt creeper out.

It stalked them staying out of sight and never tried to harm them. The first night they didn't sleep and she hugged him tightly to her shaking as she fought her urges to leave and become a breeding slave. She hated the wild and staying the night I the wild was always hard for her. He stayed awake with her promising to protect her the best he could.

Even with that he felt terrible that he had to stay up because of it. Maggie didn't want him to become tired and weak because of her. So, she would offer to protect him which made him smile. Andrew only nods knowing that she was alright in some way that she grips her blade just in case. He didn't want her to over do it. Knowing the possible outcome of this place effecting her and him slightly. She just looks down doing her best.

She didn't wish to bother him and the camp was protected by a natural barrier. The night was long. No monsters attacked they saw many stronger versions of beasts they already seen before and she even noticed the shadows of the curse that dwelt here. She could even tell where the source was and how strong it was. It surprised he rti notice she and he together were an even match for it.

"......" Looking more nervous for the time being, she only remains quiet to try staying calm. Maggie didn't like this sort of feeling but she only goes along with it hoping for the best after some time. Maybe later down the road when they were stronger, they will show fear to the other monsters roaming around here. For now, she just keeps close to Andrew not moving anymore than she needs to.

The dawn broke and dim light filtered through the perpetual clouds covering this place. They got 7p and started traveling again. They encountered several weak groups of monsters determined to eat them and they were wiped out quickly. The stronger ones waited none wished to mess with the two as they grimly walk to the heart of cursed area.

She felt it growing stronger and fought the urges easier now that she had some rest. The curse turned out to be a tragic murder in a heated passion and bitter rage playing over and over feeding a nasty imp. She saw the lovers in the triangle trapped and she snapped and flew into a rage to burn the imp and stop the time loop from repeating.

She wonders how this came about but didn't want to think too much about it. For now, they just kept traveling down the road trying to get out of this location. Maybe in some way, things will change later on. She just goes ahead with working on something else. Knowing the possible outcome of things to start seeing the sun out. Maggie just keeps her eyes ahead ready just in case.

with the death of the imp the monsters disperse and the areas curse breaks. The clouds brighten and start to rain a rain that washed everything clean. For them they were soaked in a cloud burst that removed their armor.

She gasps and covers her white under garments he was busy picking up his armor and didn't see but her body was glowing where the demons touched her. She got her suit on fast and he didn't notice.

He was re equipping his gear and she saw a mark of claws o. His back glowing. He was suffering as she was suffering and she knew she was hiding hers well. Knowing he blood burned as her body did was not making easier to resist her urge to satisfy her urges either with him or with the one that marked her.

She didn't say a word but looks seeing the rain coming down harder now. Maybe it was a good time to find shelter till it stopped raining. Andrew and Magret looks around seeing their wagon where they were close and spotted a cabin. It didn't seem to be in use; maybe abandoned. That seems to be a good idea. They can wait here till the rain stopped.

"Geez, I wasn't expecting it to rain this hard." he mutters moving his wet hair from his face.

"I don't know. At least the rain is cleaning the land and it's healing. We did good....or well, you did good." she mutters under her breath seeing him look at her.

"I think you mean both of us..."he corrected her.
