Warriors of light cuaght in a dark world.

Sort of. Magic is universal here. If you know it the same spells give you power with the same effects. Only heroes or demons can cast every spell. Its about how much power you have that determines how strong the spell is and there are few after effects.

"That sounds..disturbing but I think I get it." she mutters looking silent while seeing him looking at her. Of course she wished to try figuring something out.

The list went on to make one person move faster was simple enough but slowing someine down seemed tough the image she had to have in he rmind to work the spells were hard to memorize and hold. It seemed she needed practice chanting the word that releases the power and keeping the imahe fixed as she read.

This made her sigh but hopes to work on it. He knew she could do it with practice but it was fine either way.

"Alright enough magic lessons lets let what we went over sink in. What would you like to do?" He asks her and watches her eyes.

"I'm trying to find a way to let it all sink it. It's a bit much.." she said scratching her cheek.

"I promise this will mke fighting much easier for you. Tour magical depth is greater than mine." He said laughing and rubbingbthe back of his head. He blushed sheepishly and smiles at her.

"If you really say it that way..I guess I'll take your word for it." She mutters quietly to him that Andrew smiled happily towards her.

"Maggie... do... do you... know how i feel?" He asks her haltingly. He wasnt sure how to ask and he had decided something and wanted to lead up to asking her a special question.

"Hmmmm, how you feel?" she asked looking towards him.

"Yes, do you know how I feel?" he asked once more but she only remained quiet thinking a little. She didn't know if he was referring to her feeling sick or....her cheeks flushed pink then looks down.

"Do you mean about me being healthy or is this something different?" she asked.

"...Ummmmm.....a little different."

"What i mean is. Do you know how i feel about you? How much i care and how far i might go for you." He said a bit more serious and still looking at her with sheer adoration on his face.

"I...." She didn't answer him but Andrew knew or hopes she did. Of course Maggie knew but she grips her arm looking down.

"So you're unsure?"

"I'm sorry. I know you would do anything to show you care. On how much you feel about me..." she mutters but he only shook his head looking at her. He walks over to touch her shoulder that she looks up wondering what was wrong.

"As for how i feel what?" He asks softly looking deep into her eyes.

"I mean...you just...you really are something else. Knowing the possible outcome of things is...new to me. I mean, I only want you to know that I really feel close to you. I know it's something else because of it." She looks down again that Andrew looked at her still touching her cheek.

"...As you feel....I know that you deeply are for me. You love me. You...you really feel close. You love me for me because of the possible outcome of things. I know you love and care for me...and I do too. I wish I could prove it better to you. Even if I'm a tainted woman. I know....that you been caring and showing how badly you love me. And it made me feel happy..." She touches her chest feeling her heart beating.

"You care for me. You love me. I can see that from just looking into your eyes because of it. I can tell just from looking into your eyes you care for me. You love me..you only wish to show that towards me." she said this that he was looking quiet to seeing him holding her hands tightly.

"Very close. Almost exact." He said soflty. She did remember and it made her seem unsure about them. He didnt mention it and instead kisses her. "Maggie i promise no matter what even if the worst happens i will love you. I dont know what will hapoen but i guess things are about to get tougher. " he ssid and didny mean to spoil the mood with something like that.

"I yhunk we should stau here until you get these spells ams how they work down. I think maybe you need a break from our asventure." He said it soflty and with all his csring behind his voice. He was willing to stay here for her comfort and even stay until she learned aboit the spells.

"Is that safe and wise? I mean, I don't want to be the reason you had to stop traveling due to teaching me something. This will be a lot for me to take in but that only leaves me curious about it. I just hope I'm not wrong about it. I want to be stronger. I want to be able to learn anything as I can and travel." she looks to him hoping to show it's true.

Maggie only wishes to grow more powerful in magic and hopes for the best. Maybe in another few days or for how long this mission is only makes her really want to learn something in later time. She wanted to do her best in trying to help everyone she can. in another way, she only became over worried because of it. She just hopes for something else.

"Trust me; if we do it that way you can learn a lot more than you think. I believe in you Maggie." he held her cheek with one hand but she only blushes heavily looking right at him. Maybe in some way, she blushes hard hearing his sweet words. This made Maggie want to really open up and learn a bit more of magic. Maybe in some way, she can learn whatever she could over a few days. Maybe she could be wrong or not.

"So, we will do just that?" he asked.

"That is fine with me. I'll do my best to learn whatever I can with magic. I"ll be sure to do my best....I hope." she mutters with a smile.

"You'll do fine." he smiled to kiss the top of her forehead."

"The monsters here might give ypu a bot of trouble while you are learning until you get used to the stronger spells. Ill be with you. I wont let anything happen. All you need to do for now is look at this list and memorize what spells have what effect. In battle you think of the spell you wish to cast think of the effect and day the name and release the power needed yo pull it off. The best part is i know the names and effecrs of nearly all the spells that exist even if im onky strong enough for the medium level and a few high level." He said kt all at ince and she nodded following his words. It was alot and he knew she could do it. She just had to get used to what name does what effect.

All Maggie did was agree and will give her best during the training of the magic. With a smile, Andrew smiled proud and knew she'll learn a lot.

She cast the mera spell and the flame was small but potent. Sometimes he rmagic would go haywire and double in steength randomly making her giggle since the spell didnt consume more energy doing it. Soon her mera training revealed she coukd cast up to the third level of the spell and when she did it was almost as powerful as the spells the mkst powerful sages cast and even perhaps a demon king. The fire ball was huge and limited to one target. She sensed there was a futher level but she wasnt steing enough to reach it yet

He looked proud of her and explaine that the levels she senses are the potentiol she has. When she told him of the fourth level she grinned.

"Excellent that means that youre getting close to mastering that spell next well do healing the spell name is hoimi. This is the smallest version. Start with getting that down." He said and she nodded

"Mera merami merazouma got it... hoimi" she said focusing he rpower on healing. A green light burst out of him amd she shivered. And she felt there were 6 levels to this spell she could cast the first 3 small medium and medium group heal. He actually had to look up the third level to find its name.

"Behoimi is the second level but i forget the third i never had to use it before." He said and she narrowed he reyes at him. He had to think hard to remember because she knew he didnt have a book. Unless the book he spoke of was his mind.

"You make it sound like you were not sure about this one." she mutters that Andrew sighed and showed a light smile on his face.

"Hey, you did a lot with the one I just showed you. I think you'll get this one too."

"I never really heal in battle. I focus on offensive magic. So the healing arts are harder to remember. Names fade from my memory sometimes." He admitted shuffling his feet sheepishly. He seemed to believe finishing a battle a fast as possible was his style. She looked at him and giggles she thought he was cute like this and reads down the list.

She saw the accelerate enchantment and lnew that would help him alot and he never used it she saw that the magic could be used in lots of ways to help them and others that weaken the monsters. Nearly everything could be enhanced or supressed and she even saw a spell to absorb magic power from the target and she noticed he used that alot and remembered it was always when he took a powerful hit that he had used it.

Over the next week she practiced raising and lowering offence, defense, speed, and magical resistence. Her offebsive magic was truly potent especially with the bang boom and kaboom series of offensive spells. She noticed that these were capable of hitting all enemies within range and wasnt limited to groups of the same ttpe or not like other offensive spells. The ice spells matured to the third level where she could summon an icicle storm with the power of a blizzard.

As her magical skills grew she noticed that her lightenin spells were limited to groups ofmonsters that were same type and he explained it might be because they have the same energy and the spell was linked to the similar types of energy between the races of monsters.

Her overall power didnt grow only how well she used he rmagical power. She could use many more spells than be could before getting tired and her spells were all third level or higher while his were second and some were third. He was more of a physical fighter.

She noticed he was working on a series of ekemental slashes these were skills written by the teacher of a legendary hero of old in this world who was a dragon knight. A special being created when the whole world is in danger. None would be seen for 100 years if the cycle held true. These slashes he practiced were a way for him to use his power to hit all enemies without taxing his magical power. He mastered the fire slash the slash of the sea the skash of the air the slash of the earth and the slashes of light and darkness. Each required half of the power too summon as the kaboom spell but if he hit a monster with an element it was weak to she saw thw result was equal to that fearsome spell. She liked the spells better and soon groups of 10 or even 20 monsters needed one spell from her to weaken them and he would use an elemental dlash to finish them off.

Their riches and strength grow with every monster killed but practicing was pointless now. It was a peaceful time for her and every night she curled up against him and resisted her urges that bug her when she was close to him.

She hadnt had a problem with it all week unless she was trying ti sleep but sleep took her and she always woke up refreshed and stronger than before.

For the moment, she wanted to learn and grow when working on the messages. She only feels more happier towards it reading a book and using a spell that forms in her hand. It was over flowing with magic and it leaves her pondering about it. When she turns the page, she only keeps reading more of the spell as Maggie slowly lifts her hand up again after causing the spell to grow and blow more that it changes form. "................Interesting." she mutters still working on it.

This did catch his eye seeing her like this but he only wonders if she's more focused on her spells and something bigger. He knew she was but because Maggie was trying to understand and grow the spells stronger, this was enough to help her as well.

He was glad she was happy and watched her often while leaning on a wall or pole. She was precious when she was happy and it drove them into a peaceful bliss.

He did want to be sure Maggie was happy with no problem in her mind. Her thoughts were clear now and that told him she was happily recovering. Even if he offers to help, she was actually letting him. She didn't fight or push him away during that help and it made him more happy for her. Andrew did explain more magic spells she could learn to increase in strength but that was for another time since now they were resting up after today.

"I never expect such spells you know. I figure you were keeping these from me till I was ready to learn them?" she asked drinking some water he gotten as he eats a few bits of bread and cheese.

"Yes. I figure maybe the magic spells you learn will grow in due time because your increasing them. That shows me you're also absorbing and gaining more information from it. I'm so happy and proud of you my dear." he pats the top of her head that she smiled looking down at the spell that was floating in the palm of her hand.

"Well, I had a good teacher so I should be thanking you for that."

"It's no problem. I don't mind honestly.." he said happy.

"I know. That's why I'm happy that you would let me do this. Or even teach me." she said but stops the spell to relax from sitting on a tree stump near by. Now, she wishes to owe him for his teachings but he never really asked for anything back. That tells her she's fine with it or at least okay with it later down the road.

"I guess you really were something else I wasn't expecting." she mutters smiling but he shook his head laughing happily with her.

"That because I had a student that's willing to learn but I'm sure you learned it but had to be reminded. You knew these powerful spells but they were forgotten for a while. Now you know." he said but stood up going to do something but she blinks watching him leave to look down hiding a small smile feeling happy for herself. However, it made her blush slightly to look away remaining silent.

Rhe time together made her love for him grow and soon her desires were becoming more focused. She starred to wish to live with him like this in peace forever. She almost forgot the bad things... almost.

As her waem feelings of happiness make thw bad things grow further away she felt the darkness trying to rale it away. Shw had a dream again where she was trapped and tainted. But since her recent ordeal the dreams went further. Now she was taken entirely and with anger. The darkness was angry that he had taken her and that she was happy.

Unable to move or cry out she was forced to endure the angry forced pressure inside as the darkness took her in her dream. Because she had grown so far away he rbody wasnt effected only her mind and that gave he rthe advantage. When the dream finished its torment she attacked using the spells she relearned. The darkness was banished and she woke up in a sweaty heat.

She looked down amd examined herslef to fine she wasnt suffering like before and she fell back into bed panting. She knew she had to tell him about her dream. It meant that darknes was coming to take her and being her before the demonlord again. Maybe an army. She looked up at him and gently woke him. She explained thw dream and what she thought it meant and he took her seriously.

"Very well. Then i think its time to return to our quest. If we can forge the sword of light then i know everything will work out no matter what." He said and hugged her. "I promkse ill mever give up until you have peace." He said
