War between species

"Listen. I have orders. I need to get her home. My boss said its for her own good and i trust him." He said to the nurse. So far the new chief was competent and growing into his role well. He hoped he could get her home soon before anything happened to her. This coincidence between the medicine and the heat meant he had to check out the drug company supplying the city.

He looked at the nurse again and repeated himself to get through her worried thoughts of what could be.

"Alright, Alright. Do what you must. You have her release papers done?" she asked seeing him looking silent but sighed.

"Do I really need to do that now? With the heatwave hitting everyone in the city, I don't think their is time for that. Please, I need to get her home." he said but she looks to him then sighs again. She knew he was worried and cared but the hospital wouldn't let any one leave without filling the papers for release. She felt the same worry for her own husband that was waiting for her to come home since he's human but she's a werewolf. You couldn't tell due to her hiding her tail but not the ears.

"I know you wish to take her home but the hospital won't let anyone leave. You have to fill it out before we can release her."

"Do they even watch the news? If I don't get her out I'm going to worry other Alphas will try to snatch her away from me. I have to keep her protected at all costs. Your her doctor so please...please I need to take her home."

"...............*Sighs* Hold on..." she reaches to look at the door seeing doctors walking by but she gently looks to Tomas then goes ahead with telling him to take her home. She helps him unattach the Vi wires on her off but she winces feeling one getting pulled out carefully before getting held down with a bandage and cloth. She didn't know what was happening but this leaves her feeling weak and heavily hot.

"Easy now.." she said worried but gets Alice free from the machine but sees Tomas carefully pick her up seeing the patched up neck where the man bit her. She looked so fragile and weak but her face was flushed heavily from everything like she was sick.

"Hurry, leave and be sure you keep her inside."

"Thanks doc."

"Don't thank me. I want to head home myself because I'm worried for my own husband since he's waiting for me. I know he's read the news but he's always wants to see me safe. Now, you better hurry on home before-" Before she could finish a loud scream came from the other room that she looks out from the door. She looked shocked seeing a doctor being held down by  a nurse as he was struggling with her. She was screaming out while panting but she begins ripping away his coat till two guards came and knocked her out.

That's when another voice came out.

"Attention all personal; evacuate the hospital immediately. Heat levels are at a high, please evacuate. The guards will help with the patients  that remain but if you are leaving, take your loved ones back home. I repeat, evacuate the hospital immediately. heave levels are at a high, please evacuate."

Both the doctor and Tomas looked at one another but hears things breaking in the hallway. Other patients were running down the hall scared with others that was effected by their heats getting chased by others. who fell to it.

"Oh my-"

"The hell?"

"Hurry and leave! You need to get out of here and head on home Tomas. If you need anything, just call my phone. Alice has it on her cell phone. Now go!" she opens the door to see him rush out quickly with Alice in his arms. She still was leaning into his chest holding on but he runs down the hallway passing many doors. However, he sees other things getting worse. He saw others helping others out of the building but others were fighting their way out of this place.

He runs down the stairs quickly but held her close that Alice was keeping her breathing steady before she sees Tomas keeping her close in protection. Even if she felt dizzy from the heat flowing around, she tightens her hold around his shoulders but not too tight to chock him. He felt that looking at her before he stops seeing three men there panting heavily. They could smell her scent starting to walk towards him and Alice. He snarls at them as a warning to stay away from him but they keep walking towards her.

"Hey you..why re you backing away? Were just here to help." he lies and Tomas knew he was lying by the sound of his voice.

"Like our boss said. WE want to help..."The second one said.

"And we can help....if you let us help you with your little 'friend'" the third said but Tomas glares to look silent after some time. Even he knew they were trying something after a while. He knew they had evil intentions to steal her from him and...he didn't want to think of it.

"......"

"Well? Are you going to let us help?"

"I rather not. Besides, you guys look like you want something from me.."..." he said seeing the leader glare at Tomas then looks to Alice that was resting against his chest.

"Guess you're smarter than you look. Hand her over; she her smell is really really strong..almost like flowers..."

"No way."

"Don't make this harder on your self you idiot...don't make us use force.." he warns seeing him holding Alice tightly against his body. He was not going to let them touch her. He did notice other Omegas running for shelter but other Alphas were running after Omeags to find mates or breed them. The leader walks towards him but Tomas walks back away from them.

"*Growls* Get back. I will not allow you to touch her."

"Hand her over. She smells so good...."

"No way. Just leave her alone. Why are you trying to take her away?"

"Well; that's easy to answer. She's in heat isn't she?"

"........No she's not."

"Oh yes she is. We can smell her from here. Her scent changed and it's stronger. It's burning our noses to tell she's indeed in primal heat. Now, unless you want to die; hand. her. over." they warn but Tomas ignores them gripping Alice tightly. They glare at him but see he wasn't going to give her up.

"Fine. Have it your way." They suddenly pounce towards Tomas as he backs up to jump back onto a tree branch. He could see they were clawing at the base but he looks seeing the car to jump in a different direction and run to the car. They scream chasing him wanting to take Alice but he ignores it running till they show up by the car. Tomas gets her inside the car quickly to shut the door then gets in the driver's seat.

Tomas gets the keys in the back pocket then turns on the engine. They get near the car pounding at the window trying to break it but he grips the steering wheel then slams on the gas. He started to drive away from that area getting her to safety. They fall on the ground failing to hold on before groaning wanting to find someone to mate with. They roar out but the doctor grew worried seeing the heat effecting them this strong. It was weird but very unsure.

Tomas drove home but he sees his cell ring. He picks it up and see it was Carlos.

"Tomas! Is this you!? Say something!"

"Yeah, it's me. Just what the hell is going on?@? The heat shouldn't be this powerful right now. It just started!!

"I know. Why are you still out? Didn't you get home with Alice?"

"I am just leaving the hospital right now and heading home now. What about you?"

"Already home. I'm already giving the order of no one leaving their homes till this heat passes. I don't know what is causing it but we will find out. For now, just get home before things get worse. That's an order."

"I know. That's why I'm trying to get home now."

"Hold on; how are you holding up? You know this thing effects Alphas more stronger like Omegas too."

"I'm fine. I feel a little heated but it's nothing too serious. I won't break but I need to stay strong for Alice."

"I see. Do what you must Tomas. Stay at home and don't leave till you are told. Just..take care of yourself and Alice. Understand?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. I'm going to leave you to it. I'll call to check up on you both. Bye." he hung the phone up before Tomas sighs still driving  but his eyes look to seeing Alice resting in the passengers seat. However, she looked more flushed with her red face. Sweat was forming now but he could smell her hormones lingering in the car. He shook it off to grip the steering wheel but keep his eyes on the road. He had to get home to keep Alice safe.

"Don't worry Alice. We'll be home soon. Just hold on." he said driving.

He picked the path of least resistance swerving through traffic and keeping his eyes open for hazards. The roads wrre wrecked and almost stopped traffic. He wasnt far from the house and he cuts through traffic with his portable siren blaring. He parked outside their house and one of their neighbors accosted them in the same condition as the ones in the hospital.

"Hold it there friend. She smells nice. What do you say we share her. This heat doesnt have to make us animals." He said and his kind words belied his hidden intention.

"Shes taken no thank you. I need to get her inside. Go unside until this heat ends. Friend. And then make sure you dont go out again." He said rushing past and hurrying to unlock the door. He slipped the key in the lock and slipped inside before locking the door and pulling the security wall switch to lock down the house in a titanium shell. He turned trying to rhink of where to lay her down and he went to the bedroom throwing open the cocers and laying her in bed and covering her up.

Her arms didn't let go from around his shoulders to make Tomas unwrap them slowly that she slips on the bed laying on her back. He quickly went to remove her shoes and socks to try helping her before going ahead with getting things needed for the heat. Or at least what he read from some books during his days off way back. He wasn't expecting this sort of thing to happen so soon but seems like it.

Tomas goes to get what was needed then came back holding a tray. It had some water, light bits of food for her in case she was hungry. A bowl with cold ice water to help with any fever she felt. Even some vitamins to help her levels during the hours. He wasn't sure if he missed anything but goes to turn the tv on to the news seeing the news being spoken on.

It shows that the heat wave has come in stronger waves now that it leaves him worried. He sees the other wondering about what is happening. Even the possible outcome of this. The heat wave normally comes in small waves without problem. However, now it seems like something caused it to grow stronger for this fall. He ran his fingers through his hair worried then sees her slowly turn her head to the left feeling sweat damping her face. He carefully gets a cloth to dampen it with the cold water and wring it out.

Tomas sets it on her head seeing her wince from the sudden feeling but she whines feeling hotter now. He hushes her softly saying it's going to be okay but he wished he could take care of her better from this. For now, he'll have to wait till then. He did keep watching the news till something else comes up. Or at least till Carlos talked to all the police officers with their radios still on. He did hear that betas were alright to roam so he saw a couple were patrolling the streets to try getting things calm.

"*Sighs* You'll be alright Alice. Just rest.." he whispered to her but she heard his voice, turning her head facing in his direction. He made sure he was careful knowing she'll be feeling different effects later on during this but he will stay strong enough to help her during this heat. Same with keeping his sanity under control.

He keeps pressing the cold cloth against her forehead before he slowly noticed something. Alice slowly opens her eyes to look at him. He was worried seeing that her eyes already changed. They were glowing a bright violet with her pupils looking like a vampire. She really was going in a heavy heat but she just stares at him not saying anything.

"Alice?"

"....." she still didn't respond before shutting her eyes once more passing out to rest. He didn't respond to that but only keeps her close in worry ignoring her scent. She was more important for now and will remain by her side till she felt a little better. She might be wozzy but he will still take care of her. It became night later on but he was speaking with her doctor.

She made it home safe and is under lock down. He already spoken to his own doctor that was at home too but warning him to be careful as well. For now, she's awake again but laying on her side watching the news. He's already given her some ice cold water but helped her change and take a nice soothing bath. Every inch of her body was on fire and aching right now but she didn't move while resting under a more soft blanket.

'I see. So she's alright and you given her plenty of water?'

"Yes, I've given her enough to help cool her down. Nothing else seems wrong for now but she's awake as well.." he explains looking at ahead.

'Good. I'm glad you are taking care of her but be sure you still take care of her. I know you are holding back your own due to the heat but remember, sometimes that might be the only way to help her too. Just letting you know Tom.'

"I know..."

'If her scent becomes too strong then you will have to give her more water and maybe other bits of food to help her. However, keep a check on her and make sure she stays stable and healthy. I'm knowing you won't but..do it just to help her alright? She would have done the same for you too..'

"............" he knew that honestly but hopes that she will understand. Even in her current state. He will have to be sure to get some food in her stomach to keep her stable for now. He gave her lunch but sighs.

'I"ll let you go so you can rest up alright. Call me if you need anything okay?'

"I will doc. Thank you." he goes ahead with hanging up the cell phone and started to set it down. For now, he quickly goes back to watching over Alice. She was wake and goes to sit near her. She was still watching tv but he carefully picks her up to cradle her with the blanket. He already took a shower himself but keeps her close.

He keeps an eye on her and sits ckose warching the news with her after he was settled. He didnt like the bews but thats was because he could sense most of the stuff haopening in the city and he knew she could too. But this wasnt just in one city. He saw that it was widesprwad and confining people intk thwir homes was set in as manditory.

He spoke about the pointlessness of it "becuas eof how strong most common vampires and wolves were. Houses were cheap and easy to break so staying home doesnt help that much." He wpuld say and then started ranting about what could happen like roads closing and cities banning travel. He hoped it was short but something told his guts that it wasnt going to be.

He knew most of the homes would be protected but because of this heat wave, Tomas was more worried about her at the moment. From what he is hearing on the news, places have already place a ban on flying or travel right now. All is to remain inside their homes till things calm down. He knew during that time, he'll have to do his best in keeping food stable but they should be alright for a while. Tomas held Alice tightly against his chest that she shuts her eyes to relax in his arms.

She even could pick up his own scent that she lightly whimpers and squeaks. He looks down seeing her resting against his chest but he pets the top of her head trying to calm her down. "It's alright....shhhh..I'm right here. You're safe.." he sees her leaning her head back as he massages her head but she whimpers again feeling his gentle touch.

Tomas looks at her still blushing but he only looks down seeing her eyes still remaining shut savoring every second of this. She did look beautiful but Tomas shook his head more worried of her. However, he's unsure about how powerful her heat tends to be. He knew his own but not hers. For now, he didn't wish to risk it.

"..........."

"It's okay now..I'm still here with you, Alice." he said but she heard his voice. Slowly reaching to wrap her arms around his waist. He tense up no moving that he feels her cuddling up where her lips were near his neck but she was still blushing hard. She didn't bite or anything but remained where she was.

He keeps holding and rubbing her and slowly her heat was getting worse and worse. His was controlled for the moment. She was blushing red. close. He was so close to her. He knew what she needed why did he hold back. Why did he not wish to risk the heat getting out of control in himself. Was he worried he would become violent? Was he worried about hurting her? Was he worried about disgusting her? He wasnt sure what to do. He didnt know what was safe. She was so close. He could do anything and it could be good or bad.

He did want to help Alice anyway he could but his fear of doing something bad still was high in his mind. He knew his mind was fighting at him with both his vampire side smelling the main vein in her neck and wrist throbbing through her skin. Her blood must have been boiling hot right now and changed to his favorite taste. The smoothness and thickness made him almost drool in his mind.

Even his werewolf side was fighting back. Smelling the strong sweet flowery aroma flowing through the room but it came from her and him too. He knew his scent was driving her crazy but she was having a more stronger effect towards it. He knew she had to be soaking wet in sweat and in between her legs too. Already hot and aroused needing to mate with him. But his mind was stronger than that. He fought off the urges so he wouldn't hurt her. He couldn't. For now, he just held Alice to him and hopes for her to cool down later on.

Hours later, he was giving her another cool or cold bath to help cool her down. She already soaked her clothes from before so he was making sure to give her a new fresh set and making sure she got more ice cold water. He pours some water on her head as she lays back in the bath, still having her eyes shut while feeling him taking care of her. He sees her turn her head to the side but he saw her neck again. The main vein was now a red color due to her blood but he bit down on his bottom lip shaking his head so he couldn't see it anymore. Seems the heat wave is either getting worse or stronger now. Letting a sigh out, he carefully finishes with cleaning her up and drains the water.

Once drained, he picks her up with a soft tower that she squeaked from it's touch. He blinks hearing that but looks at her shaking now. Seems she is now growing sensitive to anything touching her over heated skin. That wouldn't be good because then she'll be too sensitive to touch. He carefully carries her to the room seeing the show they were watching together still going on for a while but it seems like they were already recorded before this happened.

Tomas dries her off carefully as she was sitting up but he knew she was shaking from where she sat. Her whole body was throbbing in agony due to her heat and he did give two pills of her heat medicine. They might have wore off so she's over sensitive for a while. Sadly she can't take another one right now because she took it two hours ago. She had to wait till tomorrow to take two more. He begins applying some lotion onto her skin with hands massaging the lotion into his own.

"Alright Alice, I'm going to start getting you dressed. Just relax for me okay?" he said gently to her before slowly applying the lotion. She yelps from his even gentle touch to whine. His hands tense up hearing the noises but he only keeps massaging the lotion onto her skin that she was feeling some shortness of breath due to all this over heated sensations in her mind. She only keeps her eyes shut because of it but he didn't react to the noises while quickly massaging the lotion into her skin.

When he was done, he started putting her in a light shirt and some very light shorts to help with nothing over touching her. Seems clothes didn't have the same problem as touching so it was fine. He did help her lay down again to wonder if she needed the blanket again. She only lays on her front breathing deeply but slowly that he turns on the air conditioner and had it sent on a cold temp in hopes of cooling her off.

He sits down near her but not too close that he sees the show end and go to the news. Tomas saw the weather going to be a light rain tonight and for the rest of the week. It's light rain so it's fine. However, it will be heavy by the end of the week. He lets out a sigh but sees the news starting.

'Good evening everything and welcome to ABS channel 4 news. Our top story tonight; heat wave madness. As you are aware, a powerful heatwave has hit our city and it's all over the world as well. Many werewolves and vampires, both Omega and Alpha are to be under house arrest till this heat wave has passed. Our study group has seen that this won't effect Betas so their roaming the city to be sure no Omegas or Alphas are on the street. Till things cool down, we still want the Betas to be safe because most tend to sneak out and cause problems. We did speak with the police chief Carlos and he's already given a heads up with the mayor of the city stating what is happening. Here is a clip from today:

"I assure you all. We will be sure nothing goes wrong in our city. Other mayors all over the world know of this problem and is working together to keep our people safe. Carlos already has his officers as many others so rest assure, till this heatwave passes, stay safe my people."

'Also, we also got word of another update. We are unsure if other doctors have been spreading word on the sudden cause of the heat wave but they tell us the medicine given to Omegas are not as strong. This heat wave is new and it's ten times stronger than the normal type of heatwave.'

"??????" 'Stronger? What did he mean by that?' he thought to himself but hears his cell go off. Tomas gets up carefully and picks it up. "Hello?"

"Good evening, Tomas it's me, your doctor. How you holding up? I already spoken with Alice's doctor and she told me what is happening...."

"....She's holding on for the best time. I'm doing everything her doctor told me to do. As for me, I'm holding up as best as possible."

"I see. I'm glad you are, Tomas. I know your an Alpha and she's...well, your girlfriend but don't let this heat wave fool you. We never seen anything so powerful before but it must be something that happened every few months. Maybe 6 months ever year."

"So this happens once ever 6 months every year? Geez.."

"Yes. The news is explaining this so for now, we are stuck with this heat wave for a while till it passes. No worries though, I'm sure things will be fine but I do have some news for you. Maybe some effects regarding the heat wave."

"..As?"

"Well, the heatwave causes different changes to alphas and Omeags. For you, it's different temperature. A slight focus of mating but it's heavily strong as the days pass. You might have that urge to breed for a few hours non stop so again a heads up. You'll be craving for blood more due to the changes in different blood types."

"....Alright? Anything else I should know about these effects?" he asked gripping the phone.

"Oh yes! Be sure you avoid taking medicine. Even if you took one, it won't work. Same with Omegas. That medicine will just made the heat for them worse. I don't know if her doctor told you this yet or not so I figure I pass the message along." he said but Tomas tense up looking quickly at Alice as she was breathing slowly but he could see her breaths come in white smoke. She was still hot but not too hot.

"Wait; is this due to the new medicine that was given for the year or.."

"It's for any kind. I thought you knew this already but maybe it wasn't passed to you? Ahem, anyway, just avoid giving her and yourself heat medicine. It will not work this time. It might do for normal heat waves but this one is more stronger. Ten times stronger......anyway, I'll let you be on that. Now for Omega side effects I got a list here from her doctor." He heard a ruffle of paper on the other line.  

It says:
-slight shortness of breath
-rapid pounding heartbeat
-aching fangs
-10X sensitive to touch
-Will feel like body is effected by a powerful aphrodisiac from head to toe/inside and out
-increase change to blood
-body over heating due to the heat (will feel more hotter than normal)
-Sudden body aches and pains due to heat
-stronger body scent with a flowery/sweet smell
-over heated dazed thoughts

"She told me to give you this message because her husband is doing his best to take care of her right now."

"..................." he wasn't expecting so many effects from this that he slowly grew worried. Did this mean her body was already changing and the effects have started?! He looks worried because he already saw himself growing hard with his sharp claws growing. Her smell have still was heavily but he only gulps shaking his head to clear it. Not now; he wouldn't lose to his heated cravings.

"Tomas? Are you still there? Hello?"

"Sorry doc, still here. I think I got it.....I wasn't...expecting all that. Is their a way that you can fax me this?"

"Already did my boy. They are on a e-mail so you can print them from your computer....anyway, I need to go. I know this will be a long month for everyone. Oh, and be sure to keep her hydrated with water and...I know this isn't my business but..help her sometimes during her worse 'moments' "

"Worst moments? What do you mean?"

"*Sighs* You'll find out soon enough or whenever it happens. Good night Tomas."

He heard the doctor hang up that he was left alone in the room. He looks down at the phone then right to the news. If this heatwave was this powerful, he's going to have to get some things or do a beta delivery to bring some things to their home. He decided to do that and have it delivered the next morning. For now, he only sets it down but looks seeing the lump growing due to this but he shook it off since he saw Alice resting on the bed.

He wished to help her as much as he can but this was only the beginning of this heatwave.

He swt to work on keeping a jug of water full in every room in the house. He wasnt sure if it would help but it helped him focus. This was a lot to prepare for and he settled down and took a deep breath. He had to assume it was similr to her precios heat oy worse thanks to the side effects. He also thought he could handle things it it happens again.

No work no going out doors and windows sealed. It felt familliar somehow. He got up and went to check on her. He hadnt since the phone call ended and he wamted to see of she was okay or if she needed anything. He went to the bedroom and sowly opened the door looking in to check on her.

His eyes peeks through the crack of the door but he saw her still laying in bed not covered by the blanket. Alice hasn't move from her spot since he went to take the call. It's almost like she was asleep but he knew it's possible. She only slightly shifts to turn to her other side. He could see her face slightly covered by her damp hair but he noticed her breathing was more rash than normal. That had to be one the signs of her own powerful heat. He did wish to help her to his best ability but he didn't want to do something to startle her.

Knowing the possible outcomes of her heat tends to make someone think that way. He wouldn't harm her or do something to startle her but he only wishes to help her as best as he can. She moves a little on the bed that she slowly shuts her eyes still slightly worry. She looked so helpless like that. Sweat and over heated because of something that's ten times more powerful than normal or what she's used to.

Tomas was about to go and check on her closer but he stops smelling the room. The air was over flowing with her scent to make him cover his nose. It was more powerful that it burned his nose. He quickly shuts the door to try clearing his head but it did smell pretty good. She smelled wonderful right now, ready to breed and mate. He will have to find a way to not breath through his nose but looks around again. He did remember some mask he got during that time that could help.

He goes to clear his head quickly but he had to make sure he wouldn't lose his cool right away. Minutes later, he was back in the room but had carefully opened the window to let some of her scent out of the room while having the fan blow it out. He didn't know what else to say during this time but he took careful steps to smell the area in the room again. Her smell wasn't too bad now and that made him quickly go ahead with shutting the window and looks to her.

He could hear her breathing heavily now but hugs herself tightly while eyes remained shut. Her fangs were exposed too but she only claws the bed still trying to rest up in her sleep. So he knew she was sleeping now. He lets out a worried sigh and goes to sit in a chair but keeping an eye on her. He did feel sleepy before dozing off hours later while she was still sleeping.

In the next day or morning, he was fixing her something to eat but she didn't want to eat. Due to feeling hungry and slightly thirsty, Alice was curled up on the bed while he was trying to make her get something in that stomach of hers.

"Come on Alice. I know you don't want to but you need to get something in your stomach before you get sick. At least try to eat something like a light plate so that way you're heat isn't messing with your food cycle."

"...................."

"Do you want me to get you some small bites of bars to help? I hear their good for getting something in your stomach. Will you give that a shot?"

She slowly lowers her head still shaking during the feeling all over her body but he grew worried wondering if she was still sick. She might as well try to get something in her stomach. Due to not eating yesterday that might prove to be a problem too. He carefully shows a small bar that had something of fruit and nuts in it that he tears it open to help her eat.

"...Wanna try? Please, for me?"She didn't move from her spot but Alice slowly reaches up with one shaky arm to grab his wrist and pull it close with the bar. She didn't look at him before he could see her up close. Her fangs were longer than normal too but even sharper. She seems to be drooling slightly then takes a bite into the bar. She begins eating it slowly but her grip was strong.

"That's a good girl. Eat slowly.."He sees Alice catching her breath after chewing for a bit then takes another bite to eat. He was glad she's eating something after yesterday that he reaches to touch her head. When his hand touched the top of her head, she felt a sudden wave of heated like sensation runs through her body. This made her let go of his wrist and hug herself tightly with a loud shiver like groan from the feeling.

It felt weird and this only made Tomas look in shock worried but he was afraid of touching her. He didn't know how sensitive her body was now due to the last time so he's guessing it's much much worse. He quickly removes his hand to see her looking down shaking now. Her arms were tightly around herself that the nails cut into her arms.

"NO no no no Alice. Don't cut yourself like that.....come on, easy now. It's alright.." he tried calming her down but she felt the sensation flowing through her body before falling on her side whining and drooling even worse. Whatever she was feeling was good but it was way too good that her body was aching for something or anything to help her. Or at least touch her till it went away. He looks around to get a ice cold cup of water that he helps her drink it slowly as she was gulping it down slowly.

"*Gulping water down feeling some drip down her chin to drops on the shirt*"

'What do I do? I don't want to over it....and I don't want to hurt her by a simple touch. I guess this heat is a lot more than I thought it was. She's already over heated and it's like she's in pain.
